Brasserie Konrad

At Ski Lodge Engelberg’s on-site restaurant, Chef Jonas Bolling conjures up extraordinarily good New Nordic cuisine that’s as pretty as a picture and perfect for refuelling after a tough day on the slopes (the three-course skier’s menu is a steal at Sfr59). Restaurant-Steakhouse Bierlialp

Specialising in meat, pasta, and pizza, start at the salad buffet (Sfr12.50) then move on. The pizza and pasta are good, but if you’re a meat eater with a fat wallet, go for the Irish Black Angus Beef (Sfr52). There’s a dessert buffet to top it all off.

This low-ceilinged, candlelit tavern creaks under the weight of its 200-year history at the Alpenclub hotel complex. Feast away on fondue, pizza, Italian staples or the house specialty: sizzling beef tenderloin with a garlic, onion and herb sauce.
